Fieldwork completed!

Today, we finally reached the goal of collecting 500 survey responses. It took a few weeks longer than planned, mainly because of the rains, but we are super happy to have reached this far! We have completed data collection in Ocean View, Da Gama Park, Constantia, Murdock Valley, Imhoff’s Gift, Zwaanswyk and Tokai, and have just a handful of households to revisit to do this week in Simon’s Town, Capri, Welcome Glen and Kommetjie. We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has participated, often welcoming us into your homes, sharing your experiences and vies, and been patient when we haven’t manage to finish in your area as soon as we hoped.

The research is far from over – the coming months will involve a lot of careful data analysis, and most likely some in-depth interviews to complement what is captured in the survey. We will keep posting updates about this work here, as well as notices about any findings as soon as they are ready to be shared.
