On the last day of November and before Kinga had to go back to Sweden, we met once more with our Advisory Board for some updates and to plan activities in 2024. The maybe most exciting thing was a first look at some preliminary results from our survey, and discussions about how to best share research findings with communities more widely, decision-makers, stakeholders and the general public. Both the board members and us researchers agree that there are both some expected and some more unexpected insights to share. We are going to prioritise making the results publicly available as soon as possible, aiming for a report to be available before the end of January. More about this soon.

Present during the meeting were Ben Cousins, Sandie MacDonald, Misha Wilderman, Nicky Schmidt, Kinga Psiuk, Hardy Maritz, Johan Enqvist, Anso Thom, Luke Metelerkamp, and Caroline Brown (Jason Stoffels and Gordon Chunnett were unable to join this time). In addition to this, we were also joined for the final part of the meeting via video link by Dylan McGarry, co-founder and co-director of Empatheatre. The Unruly Natures team are really proud and excited to announce that we will be working with Empatheatre in 2024, as part of a broader strategy to share research findings and provide spaces for residents and other stakeholders to engage with and reflect on them. More about this in a coming post, so stay tuned! In the meantime, do visit Empatheatre’s website and see what they have worked on before.
